The BHT Immigration Legal Service provides specialist advice and representation on behalf of those whose legal entitlement to remain in the UK is uncertain and those seeking asylum in this country.

  • Provide telephone advice in English
  • Offer appointments for more complex matters
  • Help with applications to the Home Office
  • Help with immigration and asylum appeals
  • Arrange representation at Court
  • We will organise professional interpreters when necessary.

    Our free casework service is available to people who qualify for Legal Aid or who are on a low income, live or work in Brighton and Hove.. This will depend on your financial circumstances. To help us decide whether you are eligible for Legal Aid We will need to see evidence of your means (income and capital) for the last month, and that of your partner, if you have one.

    We also operate a free telephone advice service for people who live or work in Brighton and Hove.
