Bike It Brighton
Sunday 7 June 2020 at Preston Park Velodrome
Take part in an exciting cycling event this June and play your part in combating homelessness across East Sussex.
Choose from a 60 mile or 30 mile cycling challenge across the South Downs, or a family-friendly cycle on Preston Park Velodrome.
It’s a fantastic day out for the whole family, with food, entertainment and more.
Join us and raise money to help someone who is homeless get the support they need to find a place they can call home.
This stunning route heads out on to the Dyke trail, taking in the spectacular views of Devil's Dyke before joining the Cycle 60 route near Woodmanscote.
£25 – a 30 mile route
A unique family challenge taking place on the UK’s oldest velodrome. Complete as many laps as you can and get sponsored for each one you complete – special prizes available to those who tally up the most on the day!
£10 – a family-friendly cycle around Preston Park Velodrome.
You can complete this challenge on whichever wheels you choose and there's no set distance – just scoot, skate, wheel or pedal around the Velodrome as many times as you want!
What will I get?
Every rider will receive a finisher’s medal on the day to commemorate a fantastic achievement, along with a fundraising pack and support from our dedicated Fundraising Team. On top of this, you’ll be part of something amazing – getting out on your bike to support homeless people in East Sussex, helping them to get the support they need to find a place they can call home.
Is there a minimum fundraising target?
Every penny you raise in sponsorship will help make a difference to the lives of homeless people in East Sussex. We’re encouraging everyone to pledge to raise a minimum of £50 through this event, which could provide the sixty rough sleepers in our city that visit First Base every day with a nutritious breakfast and lunch, after a night of sleeping on the streets.
Do you need volunteers?
We need volunteers to help out with a range of tasks from registering participants on the day to marshalling the cycle track. You can find out more here.
