I’ve been really impressed by great ideas when meeting with staff teams across the Trust to talk about the Intern programme and being a Mentor.
One thing that has been raised a lot is what do Mentors get out of involvement in the Programme? People will know that there is a small amount of money in the form of an enhancement available to Mentors but the vast majority of people are keen to know about the training, career and personal development aspects.
A number of people have suggested pooling the enhancement money and using it to purchase a high quality professional development training course for Mentors.
