This week Adam, our Intern at Support4Housing has been involved in the launch of a new nationwide campaign to support people to get on-line.
The government campaign run by the Nominet Trust is running a countrywide roadshow incorporating a stunning photographic exhibition highlighting the benefits of being online along-side a travelling information centre where members of the public can find out about the internet and try out taster sessions. The roadshow is aimed at the 9.5 million people in the UK who have not been online. The Nominet Trust decided to launch the event in Brighton and asked BHT to take a lead in staffing the event during the Brighton Launch.
Adam and I spent two days running the information centre on the seafront, with Adam providing the public with on-line taster sessions and signing people up for GO-ON training courses. As part of his internship Adam has been trained to deliver the Go-On training which is an online training course for people who are new to the internet. No Comments [sociable/]
