Intern Key Skills Evaluation Procedure Finalised

Interns on the BHT Intern Programme will have the opportunity to develop the key skills that employers look for.

Regular visitors to this site will know that I’ve been working with the University of Liverpool on identifying that those key skills should be. There will be a mix of  BHT/sector specific skills and general employability skills.

They are:

Confidentiality, Boundaries, Equality and Diversity,  Health and Safety, Use of Office Equipment, Computer Literacy, Information management, OSKA training (where necessary), Communication skills, Interpersonal Skills, Listening skills, Analytical skills, Decision making, Using initiative, Problem solving, Numeracy, Time management, Team working and Flexibility

Supporting Interns to gain or develop these skills will increase their employability and give them the edge when entering the job market.
