Sackville Gardens Intern Successfully Passes Probationary Period

Miranda, our Intern at Sackville Gardens Project this week is celebrating successfully passing her probationary period.

Miranda has done exceedingly well in the first part of her placement and is making a real contribution to the service at Sackville Gardens.

All Interns complete a probationary period during the first four or five weeks of placement. The probationary period ensures that the Intern receives the additional support needed to make the transition into the workplace and is a time where the Intern can decide if the programme is right for them.

During the probationary period there is a focus on the basics of time-keeping and attendance, boundaries, professionalism and engagement with clear guidelines and targets for Interns to work towards. The probationary period helps Interns settle into their placement and ensures that best practice is embedded before moving on.
