Gemma Baldwin

HR Manager

I joined BHT in August 2008 and I have worked in a variety of different HR roles throughout my time with the organisation.

I am extremely proud to work for an organisation that reflects my own personal values and undertakes such vital work with some of the most vulnerable people within our society. As an organisation we have received accreditation from Investors in People, Disability Confident and Time to Change which reflects our commitment to staff development, diversity and inclusion.

To work at BHT is to join a community of like minded people who are passionate and dedicated about the work they do and the services that we deliver.

Tess Hill

I started working for BHT in 2014, it is really refreshing working for an organisation that I believe in and highly support.

During my time at BHT, I have completed my Level 3 and Level 5 CIPD qualifications which I am very proud of and this has helped me to grow within the organisation. My role is to assist and advise in delivering an efficient, responsive and people-focused HR service to all BHT managers, staff, candidates and volunteers.

Working for BHT is an absolute pleasure. Having worked in ‘rather’ corporate environments in the past, BHT has been a breath of fresh air.

The fact that BHT is a company that helps people was a massive attraction for me. Homelessness and Mental Health has been such a big subject in the UK recently and to be part of something which aims to tackle these issues encourages me massively.

BHT has been incredibly supportive in my own career progression and will always encourage me to use our L&D facilities to better myself. Outside of work I enjoy playing music in various bands.
