Job Description

BHT’s Phase One is a 52 bed Band 2 Hostel, funded by BHCC, Housing related Support. The project is staffed 24 hours a day and provides accommodation for men and women with high support needs.

Annual Leave entitlement starts at 25 working days (pro rata)

5.5% employer’s pension contribution (the level of this is reviewed annually)

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to assist the Operational Manager in the operational day to day management of the Phase One project. The role will include undertaking staff supervision and development, risk management and ensuring an empowering and client focused service is provided.

The post holder will possess the ability to manage challenging behaviour and will have extensive experience of working with vulnerable people within the homeless field; of assessment, support planning and case work management. A proven track record of monitoring and reporting on financial and performance targets is required along with the ability to take the lead, to be decisive and to perform under pressure.
