Job Description

Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) is a leading provider of Social Welfare Law advice services within Brighton & Hove and East Sussex holding contracts with the Legal Aid Agency to provide specialist legal advice on Housing and Immigration matters.

This post that has been created to enable the accurate and timely billing of casework carried out under the Legal Aid Scheme alongside work on other financial processes that impact on the billing. This role is important in supporting the work that our caseworkers provide to our clients.

Ideally applicants would have experience of working under the Legal Aid Agency contract requirements and the Solicitor Regulatory Authority rules, but for an applicant who has the ability to learn quickly, has a real eye for detail and is good with numbers and computer systems training will be provided for the job role.

The post will be based in our Brighton office but travel to and work in both Eastbourne and Hastings will be required.
