Staff at BHT’s Brighton Advice Centre were thanked by the Mayor of Brighton & Hove for their valuable work at a reception at the Mayor’s Parlour.

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Pete West, learnt about the value to the community of work that staff at BHT’s Brighton Advice Centre undertakes in providing specialist housing advice, a court duty desk possession scheme and an immigration and asylum legal advice service.

Staff said that it was an honour to be recognised for their work in the community and to be thanked by the Mayor personally.

Being made aware of the work that the BHT Advice Centre does confirms even further how critical the work is for supporting the local community.

Over the year as Mayor, I have had the pleasure in visiting many BHT services, including the Advice Centre.  Each service aims to combat homelessness, create opportunities and promote change. Seeing the statistics from this service highlights what an impact they actually make.

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Pete West.
