Staff and volunteers from BHT’s Finding Futures project are to repeat their ‘Pier to Pier’ sponsored walk from last year.
The 2015 walk was a huge success in raising funds for engagement activities for their learners.
With your help they hope to reach our target of £500; last year we totally smashed it by raising £2,000 and it would be fantastic if they could do the same again this year.
BHT’s Finding Futures project is based in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, and offers free, friendly and accessible training to help adult learners change their life and create skills for their future. Training is relaxed, with a maximum group size of four, with support available to help learners improve their English, Maths, ICT skills, employability skills, life skills and self-confidence.
Many of the project’s learners never get a chance to get out of their locality so we would like these engagement activities to include things like outdoor pursuits, interaction with animals and visits to places of interest.
The walk takes place on Saturday 28 May, with the route running from Eastbourne Pier to Hastings Pier, a walk of approximately 15 miles. Walkers will be meeting at 9.30am at Eastbourne Pier.
