A drive-in cinema showing classic films over the Easter weekend will be raising money for BHT’s First Base Day Centre.
Freddies C’s Drive-in Cinema will be showing a series of classic films from Greece and Dirty Dancing to ET and the Goonies at the Brighton Racecourse and will be generously donating £5 of every £25 ticket purchase.
They will also be showing a film about First Base at the start of each of the movies and holding a bucket collection.
All the money raised will be used to support homeless men and women who use First Base, our day centre which works with homeless, insecurely housed and vulnerable men and women in Brighton and Hove.
Two films a day will be shown between Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April at 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
I’m so looking forward to working with such a worthy charity.
Brighton is such a wonderful city and if I could help just one person live in better conditions or create an opportunity for someone to better their lives this would mean so much to me.
I spent some time without a bed to sleep in as a young child and a teenager, and know that just one helping hand at the right time can change someone’s life forever, and it could have such a knock on effect as they could become the one helping others in the future.
Nathan Alexander, owner of Freddie C’s Drive-in Movies
This is an incredibly generous gesture by Nathan and one that will help us to make a real difference to the lives of people living on the streets.
You can have a fantastic evening attending the drive-in cinema at the Brighton Racecourse, whilst supporting homeless men and woman.
