Walk the Boundary of Brighton & Hove for BHT

30Jan

On Sunday 30 April BHT will join twenty-six other charities to take on the extraordinary challenge of walking the boundary of the city.

The event, which is supported by the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, starts in Saltdean and is just over 27km – one kilometre for each of the Mayor’s charities! This is a family-friendly fundraising challenge with six different stages, enabling walkers to take on as little or as much of the walk as they wish.

As a supporter of BHT, your sponsorship will go directly towards providing support, advice, care and housing to thousands of people who are rough sleeping or threatened with homelessness in Sussex.

The aim of the challenge is to pioneer a new, official, walking route which takes in some of the highlights of the lovely local downland. The walk will be led by National Park Rangers and will include talks along the way at areas of specific interest. The new designated pathway will be for the enjoyment of Brighton and Hove residents and visitors alike.

So dig out your trainers and set yourself a challenge!

Tickets cost £5. Please select Brighton Housing Trust when registering. You will receive further details including full route timings and information on raising and collecting sponsorship.

I will be walking with friends and supporters of all my 27 local charities, raising money for the invaluable work they do helping local people. Challenge your family, friends and colleagues to enter, the more the merrier as we pioneer the Brighton & Hove Way.
