BHT is appealing for donations of sun cream for homeless men and women this summer.
Staff at BHT’s First Base Day Centre have seen a dramatic rise in the number of people with severe cases of sunburn since the temperatures have risen.
In order to help homeless men and women protect themselves from the sun, we are appealing for donations of high protection sun creams.
If you would like to make a donation please contact Claudine Cohen on 01273 326844.
The majority of us have been looking forward to the warmer temperatures but unfortunately this isn’t the case for everyone. For our clients that are out in the sun all day everyday with no shelter to protect them, the summer can be a dangerous and stressful time.
Over the last few weeks the weather has been particularly hot and we are seeing more and more homeless men and women with severe cases of sun burn and sun stroke.
Our limited supply of sun protection cream has now run out and so we are appealing for donations.
There are lots of buy one get one free offers for sun cream at the moment and so we are asking people to consider donating their free bottle to us so that we can prevent clients from getting sun burnt over the coming months.
