BHT has made it to the finals of the prestigious 24housing awards in the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category for its work on the shipping container homes project known as Richardson’s Yard.
The 12 categories in the 24housing awards are giving the housing sector the opportunity to showcase the excellent work that is done all year round and to celebrate the creativity and innovation in the sector.
The winners will be announced by a panel of judges at an award ceremony on 6 November 2014 at the Aston Villa Football Ground in Birmingham.
We are really excited to have been shortlisted for another award for Richardson’s Yard, this time in the innovation of the year category.
The Richardson’s Yard development has met a very urgent need in Brighton for housing by creating homes for 36 men and women in the city who otherwise would have been homeless.
First and foremost we are proud to be able to say the development has been successful in meeting this need but of course we are also honoured nd excited to see that it has been recognised as an innovative and creative project.
This recognition, even though it is in the name of BHT, should be shared with QED Property Ltd., our wonderful development partner, as well as others, like Homebase, who helped to turn these houses into homes.
