investors-in-people-logo-dark-W300Great news! BHT has recently been awarded Investors in People accreditation which runs until 2019.

This was BHT’s first assessment against the Investors in People Standard to evaluate and determine how we could further develop and inform our people management practices and strategy.

162 members of staff completed an online assessment, with a representative sample of 25 taking part in face to face interviews. People across our services described how BHT had a strong reputation for the support it provided to people in need.

This is wonderful news and a recognition of the hard work that our staff throughout the organisation have put in over the last year. I am particularly grateful to our staff in the Human Resources department for the cultural evolution achieved over the last year, and those in the Learning and Development department who are involved in delivering our excellent training programme.

We were already an employer of choice, and this award is formal recognition of the work undertaken by BHT with regards to its employment practices, engagement with our staff, and how we empower our workforce.

The Chair of the BHT Board, Joan Mortimer

The Investors in People programme has proved an invaluable process engaging all our staff , helping to develop deeper people management practices that support staff in the fantastic and inspiring work they carry out to make lasting changes in people’s lives.

As an organisation committed to delivering excellence we recognise and value the vital contribution our staff make to our sustainable success. As an employer of choice Brighton Housing Trust is committed to investing in our greatest asset, our staff.

Daniel O’Connell, BHT’s Head of HR, Learning and Development
