BHT is supporting activists around the world this week in a global campaign to end violence against women and girls.
The charity will be supporting ‘One Billion Rising’ by launching a film featuring staff from the organisation sharing their reasons for wanting to see an end to the violence against women and girls.
The film begins by sharing the stark statistic – one in three women will be beaten or raped during her lifetime.
On 14th February, activists, writers, celebrities, women and men across the world will be coming together to demand change, strike, dance and rise against the injustices women suffer.
We felt that it was important to do something to show our support for this campaign. At BHT we work with some of the most vulnerable women in the City and we see first hand the effects of violence and how it can shatter women’s lives.
We are all rising on the 14th of February in support of every woman we have worked with who has been affected by violence. It is time for change.
