About this volunteering opportunity
We are looking for a client or tenant volunteer with good communication and written skills, who is passionate about getting clients’ and tenants’ voices heard and encouraging them to contribute content to the Client Action website.
You will gain skills and experience of the homelessness sector within a dynamic, positive, friendly and supportive environment and receive training, guidance and support with regular volunteer supervision meetings with the Tenant and Client Involvement coordinator. You will be joining a friendly housing services team based in BHT’s London road Brighton office. Ideally we would be looking for a commitment of half a day a week for up to six months.
About the project
The aim of the Client Action Network website is to provide a space where BHT clients and tenants can have a voice, promoting a culture which values client and tenant opinion and contributions, enabling them to develop the skills and confidence to participate in the wider community. As a volunteer you will be given a full induction as well as training in areas such as safeguarding, professional boundaries, and Equality and Diversity. You will also have an experienced on site supervisor who you will meet with regularly.
