Cllr Bruce Dowling has visited the Advice and Community Hub on a tour of some of the voluntary sector organisations in Hastings.
The councillor was shown around the centre by the teams at Renaissance House and was told how the range of advice agencies all work together to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for clients looking for advice on issues such as housing, debt, welfare benefits and employment.
Cllr Dowling was also introduced to the Finding Futures team who are based at Renaissance House and offer a personal, self development and motivation programme for people who are looking to improve their life and employability skills.
The Advice and Community Hub is formed of Citizens Advice 1066, Hastings Advice and Representation Centre, and BHT Hastings Advice.
Cllr Dowling also visited the Education Futures Trust, Autism Sussex at Café des Arts, the Links Project and the Hastings Fisheries Local Action Group to understand the diversity of voluntary groups in Hastings.
