Councillors and Volunteers Set to Fundraise for BHT

A team of Brighton and Hove Councillors and volunteers will be out on the streets in December to fundraise for BHT.

We are enlisting the help of local Councillors from across all parties to shake tins and collect money for us and kick start our Christmas fundraising campaign.

In addition to the tin shakes, we will be launching ‘All I want for Christmas’ an online campaign from 9 December.

The campaign will share the stories of homeless men and women in Brighton and the items on their Christmas list this year.

The team of Councillors and volunteers will be out shaking tins on Saturday 14 December at Churchill Square, Brighton and on George Street, Hove.

Andy WinterLast year 12 Councillors and volunteers offered their free time to help us raise money for BHT. We hope that this year is just as successful.

The tin shakes will be the start of a range of activities we have planned in the run up to Christmas to help us raise much needed funds for First Base Day Centre which works with homeless men and women, including those sleeping on the street.

In the cold weather and in the run up to Christmas, the service we provide is not just a seasonal extra, it literally saves lives.
