The High Sheriff of East Sussex, Mrs Maureen Chowen, accompanied by her husband, Mr Michael Chowen, visited BHT women’s support service, Threshold last week.

Both Maureen and Michael Chowen have been active supporters of Threshold for the past decade. Threshold supports women and their children in the community with varying issues including maternal mental health, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress.

We are indebted to Maureen and Michael Chowen for their longstanding support of Threshold. Their support is a lifeline that helps us keep these vital services running.

Melanie Barnard, Threshold Women’s Services Manager,

Threshold is a cause which has been close to our hearts for many years. It has been an honour to meet staff of the service and to further learn the essential work that they do for vulnerable women and families in the community.

Maureen Chowen, East Sussex High Sherriff
