BHT’s First Base Day Centre is appealing for essential items to support homeless men and women locally.
An online wish list, including sun cream, sun hats, underwear and shower gel has been set up by the service to provide its clients with these essential items over the next few months.
BHT’s First Base Day Centre offers a range of services to support people who are sleeping rough or insecurely housed in Brighton and Hove, including food, showers, clean and dry clothes, and support to get off the streets, and also provides opportunities for work experience and learning.
Having fresh clothes to change into after a hot shower can make a significant impact on an individual’s sense of wellbeing, and ability to face the day ahead.
This is why items such as underwear, toiletries and towels are so important in supporting our client group to move away from sleeping rough.
We really appreciate the continued support of the community with this appeal.
Deirdre O’ Halloran, Deputy Manager, BHT First Base Day Centre
If you could support our clients by purchasing an item from our wish list they will be one step closer to moving away from homelessness.
