Jake, Kyran, Jess, Selina and Faye are among a group of College Central students aged between 14 – 16 who are supporting ‘Project 500’ which enables underprivileged children and young people in Sierra Leone to go to school.
The group mixed, baked, iced and decorated almost 100 cupcakes and sold them to office workers and volunteers based at Renaissance House, the new advice and community hub in London Road, St Leonards.
Renaissance House is the new home of Citizens Advice 1066, the Hastings Advice and Representation Centre and BHT Hastings Advice.
The group raised £60 towards the target of £90, which is the cost of Alice’s education for one year.

We are really proud of our young people. Selling cupcakes to raise money for Alice was a brilliant idea. They showed enterprise and imagination and had a lot of fun while being creative in supporting Alice, a young person they will never meet.
