BHT has celebrated a fundraiser success by raising £434.12 from a quiz, raffle and bingo night at a local Brighton pub.
Staff from First Impressions, a Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) project, organised the event at the Barley Mow in Kemp Town, Brighton, to raise money for the project which works with men and women who are homeless.
Over 50 people attended the fundraiser and joined in the pub quiz, bingo and raffle.
The money raised will be used to support men and women who are on the First Impressions project at BHT’s First Base Day Centre.
The project supports people back into work and learning and provides people with clothes for interviews, work appropriate clothing and bus fares for travel and learning expenses.
First Impressions activities help people to move on from homelessness towards more positive futures.
I am so pleased with the amount that was raised on the night and the generosity of everyone who came along. I would also like to thank the Barley Mow for hosting a great night and for their generous donation of £100.
Also, a huge thank you to everyone who donated the amazing prizes for the raffle, they really made the event the success it was.
The event was lots of fun and I am looking forward to organising another one at some point soon.
