A launch event has been held at Eastbourne Town Hall to celebrate the start of a £9.2 million, Big Lottery funded project that will improve services for local people.
50 people attended the launch of the Fulfilling Lives: Supporting people with multiple needs initiative including colleagues from Equinox, CRI, Seaview Project and the Big Lottery.
The programme will bring together organisations that tackle the issues of homelessness, mental ill health, addiction and offending to enable people to lead more stable lives.
The eight year programme will create better systems and services across Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings to meet the needs of the target groups.
BHT Sussex is leading on the programme on behalf of the South East Regional Partnership consisting of twelve core partners from local authorities and the charity sector, service users, and sixty other partners, and will be responsible for delivering the programme between 2014 and 2022.
For more information on the programme please contact Jo Rogers on 07584 206153.
We have been really busy over the past few months recruiting staff and planning the project to ensure its success.
The programme will introduce new ways of working and the learning gained will achieve long-lasting improvements to individuals’ lives and services, and how resources are spent.
We are looking forward to getting started on what we believe will be a life changing service for many people across Eastbourne, Hastings and Brighton and Hove.
Jo Rogers, Fulfilling Lives Senior Manager, BHT Sussex.
