BHT’s First Base Day Centre will be joining organisations in promoting sexual health and wellbeing during Sexual Health Week 2016 from 12 – 18 September.
The theme this year for Sexual Health Week is Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
Working from First Base, BHT’s Promotion and Awareness of Sexual Health (PASH) project will be offering onsite Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screening to people who are homeless throughout the week as well as educating clients about testing and health.
In addition to the regular sexual health services we offer at First Base, during Sexual Health Week we will be running a range of activities for people who are homeless and the organisations who support them, focusing on STIs, where to test, how to access condoms as well as busting some common myths.
