Following the successful launch of the ‘CIH Level three Certificate in Supporting Homeless People’ BHT Training has announced it will be running a second course, starting in July 2013.
The nationally recognised qualification, developed by the Chartered Institute of Housing, and homelessness charities Homeless Link and Broadway, will equip staff with key skills and expert knowledge, drive improvement and add value to homeless services.
The qualification is the first of its kind in the sector and is available to all housing and homelessness organisations in the South East.
On successful completion of the six-month vocational qualification, learners will receive a nationally recognised level three certificate (QCF 13).
If you would like to find out more about the qualification, please email BHT Training or call 01273 645401
The course is very focused on practical problems, barriers and issues around working with our client group and has encouraged me to reflect on my practice and look at ways to improve the effectiveness of services and interventions.
The course is challenging as I haven’t studied for some time, but also very rewarding to be able to demonstrate my working knowledge and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Shane Hoften, CIH Level three Certificate in Supporting Homeless People student
It’s fantastic that the first round of the course has been so successful.
The course has proven to be very popular so people who are interested in starting the qualification in July should get in touch as soon as possible on 01273 645401.
