The Amazing People Raising Money for BHT: Brighton Half Marathon

brighton-half-marathon-2016_W220This Sunday is the Brighton Half Marathon and we have a few amazing individuals taking part to raise money for BHT services.

Please click on the names below to help sponsor them and raise much needed funds, so that we can help BHT to help others all year round.

One week to go. Just back from a 10k to keep my eye (of the tiger) in. Bring on the main event!

Thanks to all the kind folks for donating to a BHT First Base – will help some people who really need it X

David Bristowe

I have been homeless on the streets due to my addiction issues and all the problems that come with it. I was helped by the rough sleepers team and got into a hostel then into rehab.

I have turned my life around and will be doing this run as a challenge and to raise money for first Base that help the people that are forced to sleep rough in Brighton.

Thank you for reading and please help by sponsoring my run.

Instead of just running a half marathon and eating a delicious roast as a reward we decided this time the reward will be all the money we raise for Brighton Housing Trust (and a roast dinner).  Roast dinners for all!

Jack Poole and Jane Ollier

I am running the Brighton Half Marathon for #TeamBHT: Brighton Half Marathon 2016 because I want to raise money and awareness for BHT.

It would be great if you could donate and share my Page so I can raise as much as possible to help them run housing and support projects to transform the lives of vulnerable people.

Thank you.

I know this charity very well, the work they do,the management and I  how the money will make a difference.

The work they do provides homeless people in Brighton the support to look to an alternative future and I’ve seen it in action. It works!

BHT runs a wide range of specialist services to meet the needs of homeless and vulnerable men and women, and tackles both the causes and effects of homelessness and poverty.

This year the race organisers are seeking more volunteers to help marshal the race and cheer on the runners.

There are many roles available, such as helping to register runners, hand out medals and cheering the runners on.
