The project celebrated its 20th birthday with a party that was attended by current and former residents and staff.

Eastbourne Ward councillor, Graham Cox, Chair of the BHT Board, Patrick Allen, and BHT Chief Executive, Andy Winter, also attended the celebrations.

The residents marked the occasion with a collection of art work they had created to celebrate 20 years of the Sackville Gardens Project.

The Sackville Gardens Project offers a combination of registered care and supported housing, enabling clients to progress through stages of independence whilst retaining continuity of support.

It was such a lovely day and so nice to see old staff and residents from the years gone by. Residents of the Project have been preparing for the 20th birthday party for a while now, creating beautiful art work and preparing the garden so that it was cleared and ready to use on the day.

The Sackville Gardens Project has gone from strength to strength over the last 20 years, supporting people with mental ill health and helping them to live independently. I am looking forward to the next 20 years!
