Threshold will be marking International Women’s Day by launching an appeal for funds.

The women’s counselling service will be hosting a reception for clients on the 8th March at the team’s new offices on North Street and will be appealing for regular donors to support the work of the service.

The Duke of York Picturehouse at Preston Circus will also be supporting Threshold by holding a collection and handing out information about the service before performances on the day.

We’re delighted that the Duke of York’s are supporting us on International Women’s Day. The Threshold Appeal aims to raise £15,000 this year to help us to continue running our services and the collection will help us to make a really good start.

Melanie Barnard, BHT Threshold Manager

Threshold provides invaluable support and counselling services to some of the most vulnerable women in the city. Our clients may have experienced domestic or sexual abuse, lone parenting or mental health problems.

As a charity, we rely on the goodwill and support of people to help us sustain these services.
