BHT’s First Base Day Centre is thrilled to announce that Yoga Base Brighton has chosen to raise money for them during their forthcoming yoga event.
They will be holding a Yogathon Relay outside of the Corn Exchange in coordination with the Brighton Yoga Festival on Saturday 23 July to encourage people to join in with the festival.
The festival, now in its third year, is the only free yoga festival in the country and is designed not just to attract the existing yoga community but also to draw in people who are new to it and would like to give it a go.
During the Yogathon there will be a collection for BHT’s First Base day centre, which provides services for local men and women sleeping rough, including food, showers, laundry facilities, advice and work and learning initiatives.
It’s great to be able to raise money for such a worthy charity in our home town as well as encouraging people to take part in the Brighton Yoga Festival and discover all the health benefits and delights of yoga.

We are very grateful for the support of the community. Events like this raise both money for the service and the issue of homelessness, helping people who are sleeping rough move away from the streets.
