Many of our clients would like to get back into work, in some cases, after many years on the margins of society.
The Catering Training Project trains homeless and insecurely housed men and women in all aspects of the catering trade, to equip them for work in the catering industry. The Catering Volunteer Coordinator trains trainee volunteers in food preparation, budgeting, stock taking, menu planning and nutrition/healthy diet classes.
Trainees will undertake on-going training including a Food Hygiene Certificate, Health and Safety, First Aid, and will also be supported to embark on further accredited training with external providers.
The Project is funded by the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Programme.[spacer size=”5″]
