On Sunday 25 June 2017 cyclists of all ages from across the local area will take to their pedals at Preston Park Velodrome to cycle as many laps as possible in aid of BHT’s First Base Day Centre.

The clock for this extraordinary challenge starts at 7am and runs throughout the day, with cyclists aiming to reach the combined target of 66,792 laps!

Fun for all the family!

With family entertainment and activities, including Morris dancing, giant musical sculptures, solar telescopes, a smoothie bike, and bike marking by Sussex Police, it promises to be a fantastic day for the whole family!

Every cyclist will receive a unique medal, sponsored by Eagle Labs Brighton.

How many laps can you, your family, your work colleagues or your cycling club pledge?

20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 laps? Set yourself a personal challenge!

Don’t own a bike? Don’t worry. Why not take the challenge on an exercise bike at your gym? All we need to know is how many kilometres you cycle so that we can add it to our grand total.

Prizes will be awarded for the most laps completed, most sponsorship raised, youngest rider, best fancy dress and most decorated bike.

All cyclists must wear a cycling helmet to take part. Anyone without a cycling helmet will not be able to participate.

Together we can make a big difference

Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting people who are rough sleeping in Brighton & Hove.

BHT’s First Base Day Centre provides a range of support, from basic necessities such as food, health services, showers and laundry facilities, to person-centred advice and training to help find accommodation and employment.

Every year, First Base Day Centre helps around 1,000 people to move away from sleeping rough and on to healthy, independent and positive futures.
