BHT’s Whitehawk Inn is a friendly community centre providing a range of courses, services and support.
Our services are focused on the needs of those living in Whitehawk and East Brighton but we welcome everyone into the centre, to visit or participate in any of our activities.
What we offer
Routes is a local project offering free, personal support for anyone needing some help on their journey into employment.
At the Whitehawk Inn, we offer a Routes internship programme for adults of all ages.
Taking part in Routes is all about building your confidence, getting up-to-date skills and making real progress towards better work opportunities.
Adult Education and Training
Why not enrol on one of our courses?
If you want to learn a new skill or start a hobby, we offer a variety of courses to suit different tastes: from art courses, to languages to IT skills.
We also offer a selection of free drop-in clubs and groups including Drama, Games and Knitting.
We can organise free or low-cost childcare and help with course costs and travel fees.
Information, Advice and Guidance
The Whitehawk Inn provides Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) about learning, volunteering and work, as well as a range of support activities for adults.
Our qualified careers advisors can work holistically with you to identify your work and learning goals; find the information you need to plan and support your next steps. Whether you are looking for a career change or wanting to go back to work, step-by-step support is available.
As part of the Moneyworks project, we offer free one-to-one appointments with our Advisor to discuss ways to save and manage your money. This includes budgeting and online banking.
Our advisor can also arrange appointments with specialist agencies for further expert advice.

Are you a Friend of the Whitehawk Inn?
Your donation each year could help us provide bursaries for courses, travel and childcare and also go towards our day to day running costs.
By being a Friend of the Whitehawk Inn you will receive vouchers, your name up on our Wall of Fame and acknowledgement on social media and in promotional materials. All you need to do is choose the amount you would like to donate and contact us to complete the form.

Drop-in internet café and low cost printing facilities
There are four computers on the ground floor along with a colour printer.
Five minutes use of our internet café computers costs 10p for members and 15p for non-members.
To become a member all you need to do is to pop in and complete a membership form.
Black and white printing and colour printing is also available in various sizes.
Café and garden
Relax in our garden or café and enjoy a hot drink and a snack from our café.
The drinks menu includes a range of delicious teas and coffees starting from 90p.

We are open from Monday to Thursday from 9am to 4pm. We close at 1pm during school holidays.
We will be closed from Thursday 14 December until Wednesday 3 January for the festive period.
The Whitehawk Inn is situated next to the large bus depot in Whitehawk Road.
It is on the corner of Whitehawk Road and Marlow Road (Postcode BN2 5NS). You can catch the 1, 1a, 7, 21, 23 or 84 bus to get here.
