Real Life Story - John White

John White has been a student at the Whitehawk Inn since 2011.

After seeing a Careers Advisor, he started an Office Administration qualification course and a Level 2 Counselling course. Over the years, John has gained six qualifications at the Whitehawk Inn and during this time he has been an enthusiastic and dependable volunteer.

Through learning and volunteering, John has developed invaluable skills. He has been able to work with people from different walks of life by providing support in IT classes and volunteering has developed John’s confidence and self-esteem. As a result of this experience, John has recently started working in a local organisation.

John describes the Whitehawk Inn as a fantastic place with excellent classes & support which is professionally run. He enjoyed being in such a welcoming environment that enables people to go further. He sums up his Whitehawk Inn journey in three words – supportive, friendly and empowering.
