Getting Ready for Work Event is back this October!

Our popular Getting Ready for Work Event is back on Thursday 16th October at Friend’s Meeting House in Brighton, run by the Accommodation for Work team. The event brings together local work and learning providers who offer a range of therapeutic, learning, and work-related opportunities to clients, tenants and keyworkers of homeless services and supported accommodation in the city. Providers at the event offer a wide range of opportunities including volunteering, work placements and internships, further education, careers advice and vocational training. Volunteers celebrated at BHT Sussex for Volunteers’ Week

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people across the UK make through volunteering in their communities. It is run by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and takes place during the first week of June every year. The campaign highlights the diversity and unity of volunteer work, which is aptly reflected by the volunteers at BHT Sussex. 29 BHT Sussex volunteers donated 2261 hours of their time in the year 2024/2025 demonstrating how essential volunteers are to the delivery and development of many of our projects.
