100 walkers take to Brighton streets to raise funds for advice services

Last Wednesday volunteers, members of staff and trustees from three local charities, Citizens Advice, Possibility People and BHT Sussex, were joined by representatives from ten legal firms to raise funds for free, independent advice services in the city.

The annual 10km sponsored walk, organised by the London Legal Support Trust, has already raised £5,600 and more support is expected over the next week.

The organiser, Bob Nightingale, said:

“It is so good to see so many people prepared to go out of their way to raise funds for independent legal advice centres in Brighton. The work of these centres is so important, particularly now at a time when so many families are facing the challenges of paying their rent and fuel bills, and putting food on their tables.

If you can support the work of these three wonderful advice services, please do so. You never know when you might need their services.”

To donate, please visit the London Legal Support Trust here and choose the charity you would like to support.

Further sponsored walks in Eastbourne and Hastings are planned for September 2022.
