The annual Getting Ready for Work event, led by our Accommodation for Work team, was held on 2 July at the Friends Meeting House and was a great success. There were 95 attendees from homeless services and work and learning providers in the city. Stallholders at the event showcased a range of opportunities including work placements, further education and vocational training, volunteering options and careers advice.
BHT Sussex projects were represented by Accommodation for Work, the Work Placement Programme, SPARC and the Choir with No Name Brighton. We also showed attendees how to use our useful benefits calculator.
Clients from many of our projects attended the event and came away with lots of exciting and inspiring work and learning opportunities.
