Virtual Christmas Collections and other ways to help BHT this Christmas

There are lots of ways you can get involved in fundraising with us this Christmas, helping us to support vulnerable people across Sussex. With many events cancelled due to Covid-19, we need your support this year more than ever – read on to see how you can get involved!

Take part in our Virtual Christmas Collections

Like everything in 2020, our annual Christmas street collection has gone online! While we are disappointed that we cannot all meet to shake a tin together this year, we have found a way to bring our supporters together virtually to raise much-needed funds, and we are holding a ‘virtual’ collection throughout December.

Enter our Winter Raffle

With our in-person fundraising on hold for the time being, we are running an online Winter Raffle with lots of great prizes up for grabs. By entering, you will be helping to support our vital work and ensuring we can reach even more people who need our help this winter and beyond.

Tickets are just £2 each and are available to buy here. Head to this website to see the prizes that are on offer, including a bottle of champagne and some great Brighton experiences such as a flight on the British Airways i360 and entry to the Royal Pavilion. The raffle will be drawn at 12pm on Monday 4th January 2021.

Vote in Ecclesiastical’s 12 Days of Giving

We would love our supporters to nominate us to win a £1,000 festive financial boost as part of Ecclesiastical Insurance’s annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign. They will be giving 120 different charities an early Christmas gift of a £1,000 donation, with 10 winners announced each weekday from 7 to 22 December.

It’s quick and easy to nominate BHT online. Nominations are open from 9 November to 21 December and you can vote for BHT at www.movementforgood.com/12days.  Winners will be drawn at random and the more times BHT is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.

The pandemic poses a real and immediate threat to the running of our services and we have already had to cancel numerous fundraising events this year. However, the demand for our support has increased and we are determined to be there for local people in need this winter.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and your time – your support keeps our services running!
