Lewes FC announces Christmas campaign to boost ownerships and help BHT

In keeping with its mission to use football for social good, Lewes FC has launched its own #JoinLewes Christmas campaign.

For everyone buying a single ownership share between now and the end of December 2020, the club will donate 20% of the initial sign-up payment to Brighton Housing Trust. You can buy or gift an ownership at LewesFC.com/owners.

Andy Winter, BHT’s Chief Executive, commented:

We are thrilled to be associated with this campaign. Lewes FC is such an amazing force for good, promoting equality and consistently identifying with the pressing issues facing our communities. Over the last year, with all the challenges posed by COVID, Lewes FC has done so much, including running shopping errands, supporting the domestic violence charity Rise, collecting for the Lewes food banks, and now sharing its income with BHT so we can support homeless people and rough sleepers this Christmas.

As an added bonus, new owners during December will also receive £1 back in the shape of a mint condition Lewes £1 note. Lewes has had its own currency since 2008 and the latest edition notes celebrate local organisations and people, including the football club’s stance on gender equality, first established in 2017.
